Is there a way to launch the Sametime Connect desktop application via the web browser?? I prefer this to the web-based version of Sametime since my web application does not know the name of the Sametime server, and I would prefer not to add a Java applet.

I would ideally like to launch the Sametime Connect desktop application via Javascript. Does any know if this is possible?
